Hansel and Gretel

It was a silent but horrible night. My brother Hansel and I were listening to our step-mother try to persuade our father to abandon us in the middle of the forest. I could believe what I was hearing. Then I heard my father disagree, which cheered me up. But then I soon found out that he changed his mind and agreed to it. Hansel, who was next to me the whole time saying nothing, until he looked and saw that I, had tears of disbelieve running down my cheeks. He told me it would be alright and that he was going to make things better. I didn’t know what he was going to do. All he did was leave the room for 5 minutes and when he came back he told me to get some rest before tomorrow. I did just as he asked and I rested my head on my bed and slept till the next morning when I was awaken in such a bad tone, that I almost fell off the bed. It was my step-mother waking us up to get ready to go to the forest together. I felt so bad because my parents wanted to get rid of me and my brother. When we got to where we were going my parents told me and Hansel to wait here till they got back. They told us to go to sleep

Adam's Diary

Saturday- It was a normal day. I didn't really do anything exciting. But I was startled by a girl, very pretty I might add. But there was one thing that annoyed me. She was too smart, she never stopped talking. I bearly met her and I got very annoyed and well I think she that she thinks I am slow and dumb. But really I’m not. She startled me so much that I jumped onto a tree next me. I didn’t want to get down because I didn’t know who she was and, I really didn’t want to find out. So I stayed in the tree.

Fable

"The boy and his penny"
One fine day, the little boy from a village called FAFA woke to find that his mom and dad left him breakfast. This little boy was a very special boy, he was known throughout the town. The thing that made this little boy special was that he ate anything that crossed his path. So that same day he decided to take a walk after breakfast. He still wasn't full after he finished eating a bowl of cereal, a whole 3 feet tall stack of pancakes, a shoe and hot sauce. I bet you didn't believe me when i said he ate everything. He ate anything he could. So one day while taking a walk the boy's best friend came running towards him with a hand full of pennies. He told the boy he was going to buy an ice cream and while he was leaving the boy's friend dropped a penny. The little boy picked up the penny and put it into his mouth. the little boy noticed it got stuck and started choking. It got jammed in his throat.
Don't eat anything in your path.

"The Outcasts of Poker Flat"

If you had to blame someone or something for the outcasts' deaths, who/what would you blame & why? (PICK ONLY ONE)

- Uncle Billy

- Citizens of Poker Flat

- Bad luck

- Outcasts

_______________________________________________

In my opinion, I think that I would blame bad luck because no one could predict what was going to happen. They didn't know the weather was going to be bad and could do anything about it. They just had a lot of bad luck. I think I blame bad luck because no one in the story was physic. No one could tell they were not suppose to stay and camp out because a storm was coming. No person could know because there were no TVs or radios back then.

Kate Chopin

"The Story of an Hour"

In the story, freedom is not that simple to have. In the story the setting was back then when women didn't have any freedom. In the story freedom is wanted by the main character wants freedom but can't get it without dieing. The author tries to explain freedom as something that people die for.

"The Blind Man"

In the story, the disabled are treated very differently. They are treated as outsiders. Where no one wants to pay attention to them or even help them. The author describes rich and poor, as where if you don't have money you’re a no body. And where as if you do you are known to every one and every one wants to meet you.

"Desiree's Baby"

In the story, racism is very much stated out. Once you start reading you can tell there is a lot of racism in the story. But the author puts it as where one person rules another person and tells that person what to do. Mostly common name would be slavery.

Dr. Heidegger's Experiment

One day i was talking with my old friends Mr. Medbourne, Colonel Killigrew, Mr. Gascoigne, and Widow Wycherly. They were all sitting across from me while i was talking to them about my experiment. When i told them if they could help me in my experiment. I saw that their face were confused and didn't believe that i could make them young again. Then i showed them an example with a fifthy year old flower that i made young again. they asked how i could make them young again, and well i said all you have to do is drink the water i recieved from the fountain of youth.

I could see their faces in disbelieve. But then Colonel Killigrew asked me what the effects would be when i told him that he had to find out for himself. I finally saw that they all were

Desiree's Baby, The Sequel

Armand stood there with a blank look on his face. There was no emotion on his body. He stood there holding the letter in his hand. With no movement and no reaction. Then one of the slaves walked up to him and said very queitly."Are you okay, Sir." All Armand did was look at the slave with a mad face. Two seconds later the slave was on the floor and Armand was walking up the stairs towards his bedroom. the slave on the floor looked up and saw him running up the stairs and then a big slam. When he shut the door to his bedroom behind him. All the slave by the fire just stood there looking when he shut the door. They all stared at the door and saw him pacing in his room, and throwing thing around the room.
